The WhatsApp Business API can be used via our Inbox as well as via your own API integration. MessageBird offers different pricing models depending on your usage. You can find details below for both Inbox and API usage.
Using WhatsApp via Inbox
You can make use of WhatsApp via our Inbox without any coding knowledge required. We offer different solution plans for the use of Inbox; all customers start on a free plan and can upgrade their accounts according to their needs. Our plans range from free to custom. Each plan includes free WhatsApp approval.
You can see pricing for our solution plans on our Solutions Pricing page. Note that our solutions plans are usually billed on a yearly basis. If you are looking to change your plan, you can read more info here: Managing your Inbox subscription plan.
Using WhatsApp via the API
Because API customers use their own solution, they will only pay per WhatsApp message that they send and receive. When billing your WhatsApp usage, we differentiate between the use of Session Messages and Message Templates.
On this page, we explain the difference between using Session Messages and sending Message Templates: What is the difference between Template and Session Messages?
Pricing for WhatsApp usage via the API can be found on our API Pricing page.
