We currently support SMS, Telegram, Facebook Messenger WeChat, Line and Email channels. The difference between the channels in the Chat API and the Programmable conversations are outlined below.
The Chat API is an older, multichannel API. This means that all conversations with one customer will be separated over various channels.
The Programmable Conversations is an omnichannel API. This means that all the conversations with one customer will show up in one overview. The Programmable Conversations also supports the WhatsApp and Email channels, which isn't supported by the Chat API. You can find the full API reference on our website for developers.
