When you receive a group message, they might feel a bit generic and impersonal. But, you can actually personalise them with your MessageBird account.
When you use personalised fields in your SMS messages, you can:
- Send customer-specific information.
- Engage with your target audience.
- Increase the conversion rate on your (marketing) campaigns.
When your list of contacts is complete, you can use the parameters to automatically personalise your message. The fields available are:
- Name
- Surname
- 4 custom fields - These allow you to add for example an order number, amount of days until something happens; basically, anything you want to add to your message that is specific for that person.
To be able to apply this, you need to make sure to set up the personalised parameters you want to use alongside your contacts information. You can do by either writing them down while you add single contacts or by setting it up in the file that you're going to use to import your contacts to our platform.
Let's play with an example
You want to send a message to your customers with their name, invoice number and with the number of days they have to pay. Then, when you write down your message, it can be something like this:
