You can receive your SMS in your email inbox instead of your MessageBird Dashboard. To do so, you will set up SMS forwarding via the Flow Builder. Before we can set you up to receive replies, you should make sure you:
- Have a Number in your account. You can read more info here on buying a Number: Buy a Virtual Mobile Number (VMN)
- Note that in some countries we offer Shared Numbers which you can use to receive replies. Please check this article for more information: What is the difference between a Shared and a Dedicated Number?
- Are using your Number as originator on your outgoing SMS
- If you want to use a Shared Number, or you have multiple Numbers of your own that you would like to rotate, you can use 'inbox' as the originator as shown below
Setting your account up to receive replies via Email
